Recently the work accomplished at the 3rd International Congress on Sudden Infant & Child Death held in Boston November 2018 was published in Forensic Science, Medicine and Pathology.  Barb Himes, First Candle’s Director of Bereavement and Education, took part in this important event where a consensus was reached on the terminology for definitions on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and Accidental Suffocation and Strangulation in Bed (ASSB) as well as the cause and manner of each.
