Join us for NYC’s Annual Baby Steps Walk
Join Team First Candle in New York City for a memorial walk and ceremony over the Brooklyn Bridge. The Walk is designed as a day of honor and motivation towards healing for families affected by perinatal and infant loss. It attracts people who are empathetic to the cause from all over the tri-state area each year, as well as, family members and friends and supporters from the community who look forward to it as a memorable and encouraging community gathering.

Event DetailsArrive at McLaughlin Park, located at 243 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201 between Tillary Street and Cathedral Place at 3pm to sign in, receive your gift bag and enjoy interactive activities.

We will promptly start our walk over the Brooklyn Bridge at 6:00pm and loop back around after reaching the halfway point. We will walk back to Brooklyn and end at McLaughlin Park in Brooklyn to light the flameless candles provided by The Baby Resource Center at 7pm.
If you arrive after we have started the walk, feel free to follow our route half way across the bridge and back to Brooklyn, as we will be walking slowly and taking pictures as we reach the midway point of the bridge.
