We will share data and stories about the impact our program is having on creating trusted community connections with families to provide education and support on safe sleep, breastfeeding and the proper use of infant products.

Terri Miller, MPH, CHES is the Safe Infant Sleep Program Manager at the Georgia Department of Public Health. She is also the Principal Investigator for the Preventing Violence Affecting Young Lives (PREVAYL) program and the SUID Case Registry.

Kiana Ayers, RN, IBCLC, LCCE, – Ready Set Push, Inc.

Kiana Ayers is the founder of Mamas and Tatas and Ready Set Push Inc., organizations dedicated to providing affordable prenatal education and lactation support to families in her community. A wife and mother of four breastfed children, she is passionate about offering evidence based childbirth and breastfeeding education, especially for low income families.

Carl & Israel Route – Reaching Our Brothers Everywhere (ROBE) mission is to

ROBE’s mission is to educate, equip, and empower men to impact an increase in breastfeeding rates and a decrease in infant mortality rates in the African American community

Carl Route is a Responsible Fatherhood & Family Life Coach, Community Transformer, Wisdom Council Member and Certified Lactation Counselor serves as the Project Director with ROBE.

Isreal Route is a proud man of color, Entrepreneur, Coach, and Philanthropist and serves as the Project Manager with ROBE.

TE El – Certified Labor Doula – Best Birthing Services

In addition to being the owner of Best Birthing Services, TE El is an author, advocate, and podcast host. The birth of her first granddaughter led her to becoming a Certified Labor Doula through CAPPA International and working with Emory Urban Health Initiative to ensure that no one’s daughter must go through labor alone.
