Alison Jacobson
Alison is a SIDS mother and former public relations executive who has been Executive Director/CEO since 2016. She is also the founder of Safety Mom Enterprises. “Helping families and being an advocate to keep our babies alive -- there is nothing that I’m more passionate about.”
Barb Himes, IBCLC
Barb is a SIDS mother who has been with First Candle since 2008. She leads the Straight Talk for Infant Safe Sleep program and First Candle’s bereavement services. She participates in national and international conferences, is a member of numerous working groups, and has been named a Distinguished Educator by the International Society for the Study and Prevention of Perinatal and Infant Death.
Destiny Stokes, MPH
Destiny is responsible for program strategic planning and management, as well as community and stakeholder engagement. This includes expansion of the Let’s Talk Community Chat program. She was formerly Research Manager at Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia, and holds a Master of Public Health degree in Health Promotion and Behavior, and a B.S. in Biology from Georgia State University.
